Pierre Oberkampf is a French composer, musician and sound creator. He plays several instruments and has composed the score for more than thirty short movies, including Chulyen, histoire de corbeau directed by Cerise Lopez and Agnès Patron, selected for the César awards in 2016 and in more than sixty international festivals. In 2017, he composes the music for the short movie À perdre haleine, directed by Léa Krawczyk and chosen for the Cinéfondation of the 70th edition of Cannes festival.
A year later, he wins the prize for best original score at La Cabina festival for medium length features in Valencia with The man-woman by Anaïs Caura. He works with director Agnès Patron for the fourth time on L’Heure de l’Ours, official selection of Cannes festival in 2019 (short feature competition) and TIFF in Toronto. The movie gets the grand prize in Valencia, Chicago, Aspen, Bucarest, Leed, Montreal and Geneva as well as the César for best short animated movie in 2021. The same year, the MCFIFA awarded him the Cinézik prize for best original score.
