Festival International du Film d'Aubagne: from May 31stth to june 5thth 2021




Valentin Hadjadj started his career in cinema in 2015, with the animated feature film April and the Extraordinary World. The film is remarked and collect awards, including best young composer award if the UCMF and best soundtrack in Lisbon FF.
2017 is a pivotal year for Valentin : he meets Lukas Dhont for the film Girl, which will win dozens of international prizes, including the Caméra d’Or  at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. A collaboration followed with Deutsche Grammophon to release an album inspired by the music of Girl, entitled Thèmes et Variations.

Valentin has always been involved on the short side by multiplying experiences and encounters, a dynamic that he wishes to apply to animation, series and « classic » feature films, while remaining attentive to tomorrow’s creation. Among his most recent scores are Peter Mackie Burns’ British film Rialto, and Fabienne Berthaud’s A Bigger World, two films selected for the Venice 2019 Mostra. He is also responsible for the original music of Claus Drexel’s film Under the Stars of Paris, not to mention Roger animation series (78 ep x 7 min each).
