Festival International du Film d'Aubagne: from May 31stth to june 5thth 2021




Every year, we welcome new European Festivals to present the film productions of their country and/or their favorites shorts and features!

All these festivals have in common the desire to propose various manners to perceive the world, the urgent need for seeking meaning and creating. As the FIFA, they also make every effort to help the young creation, and so, tempt to find other ways to express oneself.

In 2021, we have the pleasure to welcome:

  • Fimucité - Tenerife International Film Music Festival (Spain)
    The Fimucité is held each year since 2007, in the city of Santa Cruz of Tenerife, in the Canary Islands. This Spanish festival has become a reference in terms of film music promotion, by programming concerts whose scores are signed by renown composers. 
  • Glasgow Short Film Festival (Scotland)
    The GSFF is the most important Scottish festival with competing short films. Its programme celebrates national and international short films, including several film genres such as fiction, documentary film, animation and experimental film. The festival is also a place for professional meetings and learning, with many workshops and conferences. On the occasion of the Carte Blanche program, a selection of nine films already screened at the GSFF will honour Scotland and promote local talented filmmakers.       
  • Hamburg Short Film Festival (Germany) 
    For 35  years, IKFF has been celebrating short films and reminding us of the difficulty and courage that represent their making. A wide selection of German and international short films will be presented during the Festival, giving several directors the opportunity to meet and exchange with the public. This carte blanche is a selection of the best short films presented during their latest edition, reflecting a great diversity of styles, techniques and storytelling. Join us in a fascinating tour of Europe!
  • FEST - New Directors / New Films Festival (Portugal) 
    Following its creation in 2004 in Espinho, FEST has quickly become an important showcase for innovative films by emerging filmmakers as well as a platform for international film professionals, at the beginning of their career or already established. Partner of this 21st edition, it brings us a selection of award-winning short fims which will be screened all week long before the full-length features.
